Eclipse War Online (Closed Beta Review)

And yet another MMORPG game is set out to be released on the market this 2014—Eclipse War Online. The game is from Playwith Interactive, the same group Behind R.O.H.A.N and Seal Online. We know that all MMORPG games have their own selling point so let's take a look at what Eclipse War has to offer.

Character Transformation Cards

To be honest, this is the first time I'm seeing this kind of feature on an MMORPG and in my opinion, this will make things more interesting. Each monster has their own stats and transforming into one of them gives a small boost to your own character. Not satisfied with the added boost? Well, you could upgrade or enhance your own collection of cards to give you that added kick.

Night, Day & your Surrounding

If the monster card that you used thrived at daytime, you get an additional stat bonus. The same thing applies if you're on the habitat of that creature and this play a role when you're hunting or grinding. So it's best to have a good set of Transformation Cards as this gives you the flexibility to adjust your game-play depending on the given situation.

A Living World

Another interesting feature is their “Predator and Prey” concept. A good example of this is when you transformed into a rabbit and you attacked a wolf. Since the rabbit is a natural prey of the wolf it makes it more difficult to defeat it while you are on a rabbit's form.

In a nutshell, the features mentioned above looks very enticing for a player like me who's always on the lookout for new MMOs and what new features they have to offer. I've played for a while during their CBT period and is currently waiting for their server to go up again this later part of April for the OBT.
